A Furball’s Indifference

by Rachel Gertz

Our future abode. 24 stories up.

This is the face of one who doesn’t yet realize his world is going to shatter and reform.

In 36 hours, he will be drugged with Gravol, stuffed into a cat carrier, and dragged twelve hundred kilometres across the Rocky Mountains so he can reside in the air.

Twenty-four stories in the Vancouver air to be exact.

Pixel the furry son will be the most difficult part of our move. But we love him.

We hope he loves us back in a week.
