Warning: Trigger Warnings Are Everywhere

We know sensitive material needs a trigger warning slapped on it to protect people who get uncontrollable physical or emotional reactions to certain stimuli (e.g. PTSD, past sexual assaults, war trauma, suicide attempts). The crazy thing is, these warnings are now getting slapped on everything from college classes to articles about animals wearing wigs and, yup, ‘tiny holes’. Are more things sensitive? Or are we just becoming hypersensitive about a greater number of topics? Jennie Jarvie investigates.
